How to treat facial pores or get rid of them?

Skin pores are tiny openings in the skin that allow sweat and oils to escape through your skin, which helps keep your skin healthy. It also contains hair follicles. Despite the importance of skin pores, some people may suffer from their appearance, which affects their confidence in their beauty, and they want to get rid of them or at least reduce them.

Minimizing facial pores

First of all, we must agree that there is no definitive way to completely close the pores on the face. Even dermapen and laser sessions help to reduce them for a temporary period (usually 6 to 12 months), which means that you need to take good care of your skin to reduce and control facial pores.

Reduce facial pores

Wash your face with the right face wash for you twice a day

Dermatologists recommend washing the face, especially oily skin, twice a day with a cleanser suitable for your skin type. Washing the face helps you reduce acne breakouts and keeps the pores clean, giving you a healthy and clean face. It is recommended to use the lotion once in the morning and once in the evening. Also, you should not over-wash the face to avoid skin irritation.

Use of topical retinoids

Products containing retinoids (Vitamin A) are among the best products to help reduce the appearance of skin pores. It is one of the best products that help prevent the appearance of fine lines and works to rejuvenate the skin wonderfully.

But you should be careful when using it, because it may cause irritation, dryness, and peeling of the skin, which causes many other skin problems. It is recommended to use these products only 3 times a week and in small amounts on the skin.

It is also forbidden to use during pregnancy, as it may cause birth defects t the fetus.

Peeling skin

Exfoliating the skin helps to get rid of dead skin and dirt that may be present inside the pores of the skin. Which helps to deeply cleanse the skin, giving you a lively, healthy, and supple look.

You can exfoliate your skin with a gentle exfoliator like glycolic acid only once or twice a week.

Use a mud mask

A quick way to reduce inflammation and the appearance of acne scars is to use a clay mask, especially one mixed with jojoba oil. Clay masks reduce pores by drying out the sebum under the pores, as well as getting rid of impurities and pulling them out of the pores. So be sure to try a clay mask two to three times a week as part of your facial cleansing routine.

Facial steam bath

Although the steam bath depends on opening the pores and increasing sweating, this method is effective in cleaning the pores of the skin deeply and getting rid of dirt, oils, or bacteria inside them. Which helps you to have clean and healthy skin.

It is advised to put a cold towel after the steam bath to close the pores of the face and prevent the entry of bacteria to keep the face clean for as long as possible.

Aromatic oils

Anti-inflammatory essential oils, such as clove and cinnamon oil, can help shrink pores by cleaning them and fighting the bacteria inside.

If you want to use these oils, you should mix them with another carrier oil (to dilute them), such as almond oil or jojoba oil, before applying it to your face. Avoid leaving the mixture for more than a few minutes to avoid irritating the skin or increasing oiliness, and make sure to dry your face well.

chemical peeling

Chemical peels with hyaluronic acid regulate sebum production and peel with salicylic acid promote the growth of new skin cells.

But we recommend that chemical peels be done under the supervision of a dermatologist first to avoid injury or irritation of the skin.

Remove makeup before bed

Before going to sleep, you must make sure that you remove your makeup and clean your skin well. Because sleeping with make-up clogs the pores due to the accumulation of oils and bacteria.

Avoid oils and skincare products that contain alcohol

Using oils on the skin can irritate the skin and cause cracks. Products that contain alcohol may also cause skin irritation, redness, and dryness.

Moisturizing the skin daily

Contrary to expectations, doctors advise that the skin should be moisturized, even oily skin, to avoid dryness and maintain the skin barrier intact and healthy.

It is recommended to use an oil-free and light moisturizer on the skin to avoid clogging the skin pores.
